Founder of the World's Largest Personal Injury Firm Sues Himself, Demands $400 Trillion
Updated: Oct 13

ORLANDO, FL - John Morgan, founder of Morgan & Morgan, hired his own law firm to sue himself. Morgan & Morgan was founded in 1988 and claims to be the world’s largest personal injury law firm. Morgan filed suit against himself after slipping on a grape in his Orlando, Florida mansion. Morgan allegedly dropped the offending grape on his kitchen floor while watching a compilation of his most popular television commercials.
“Never have we seen a defendant as negligent as Mr. Morgan,” said a spokesperson for Morgan & Morgan. “This is a case of clear liability. Mr. Morgan suffered severe neck and back injuries caused by his own negligence. Even if he was unaware that he dropped the grape, it was on the floor for a sufficient amount of time to have put him on notice. As a result of such negligence, Mr. Morgan was injured, severely.”
In the filed complaint, Morgan claims that he slipped on the grape after it had been on the floor for no less than an hour, and no signs were in place to warn him of the danger. Morgan also claims that the property owner failed to maintain his premises in a reasonable safe condition. He is seeking past and present medical expenses, and damages for past and future pain and suffering.
“I’ve been in this business for a long time,” said Morgan’s attorney. “I’ve seen a lot of things in my career, but I’ve never seen such malfeasance in my life. This is borderline willful and wanton conduct. I don’t understand how a property owner like Mr. Morgan could not have at least put up a wet floor sign so that Mr. Morgan would have known of the grape’s presence. Cases like this are the reason Mr. Morgan started this firm. Nothing short of $400 trillion would adequately compensation Mr. Morgan for the devastation this has caused.”
Morgan declined to comment on advice of counsel.
